KS House Debates Health Care

Today, state representatives will begin debating The Health Care Freedom Amendment on the Kansas House floor.  The bill states Kansans have the freedom to purchase the health care of their own choosing.  The legislation, if passed, would help to create the legal framework needed for the state of Kansas to challenge the federal government on the constitutionality of the national health care bill.  Within the last 24 hours, this state bill has become much more vital due to the passage of the national health care bill in Washington D.C.  The health care bill passed by the US House of Representatives may be the most liberty-threatening piece of legislation in American history.  It is the first time in which the government has voted to require you to buy a service.  There is no constitutional basis for the federal government to require citizens to buy a good or service.  The best hope for over-turning this damaging legislation now lies with the states.  Please call your state representative and state senator and demand they take a stand for your freedom!
