Small businesses, those under 500 employees, account for over half of the private workforce jobs nationwide. Small businesses are responsible for 60-80% of all new job growth (data from About.com).
Therefore, in order to create new job growth in Kansas, it is imperative that the legislature foster an economic environment favorable to small business owners. Legislators must ease the tax burden on small businesses and allow the owners to determine how to run their own business.
