Personal Liberties and Freedoms
As the government continues to grow, more of our freedoms slip away. We should never sacrifice our personal liberties and freedoms under the false pretense of national security. Benjamin Franklin once said those who would give up essential liberty to obtain temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. The United States has been referred to as a beacon of light guiding freedom-loving people everywhere. We cannot be that beacon of light when the government intrudes into the private lives of our citizens.
